Pirapus Bio:

Pirapus, also known as George Murray and Ben Hollamby (aka Tex), is a stadium drum and bass duo from Christchurch, New Zealand. George and Tex’s musical backgrounds range from hip-hop to classical music, but it was their obsession with drum and bass which brought them together during university. Now, Pirapus’ various musical influences translate to their diverse catalogue of dnb music, making their DJ sets entertaining and loaded with energy.

After a huge run of summer festivals they hit the ground running in 2021, releasing their anthem “Need you now” featuring Christina Harrison on Dark Machine Records which has now racked up more than 200,000 plays on spotify. This was followed up by a second
release on Dark Machine Records “Eclipse” which showed the darker, heavier side of Pirapus production, a track which tore up dance floors around the world. Their production has gained praise both nationally and globally from Netsky, Koven, Lee Mvtthews and The
Upbeats to name a few.

With more summer releases and another run of New Zealand’s biggest festivals on the way. It’s safe to say Pirapus are only just beginning their exciting journey in the world of drum and
bass.
