Through dark forces, these two lads have managed to forge their own path in the dnb scene together and leave their own stamp on the darker, more minimal sounds of drum and bass.

Through powerful basslines, punchy percussion, and techy one shots, they aspire to keep moving forward and push the boundaries as much as possible within the genre.

Having already made their mark overseas, signing tunes to the likes of FourCourners, Citrus Records, Phase Records, and Yamatai Records, all of which have been releasing some heavyweight tunes lately, be prepared to be plunged into a fast-paced, exciting set with plenty of new music and plenty of twists and turns to keep you moving!

NOSPEAK:
Silent narrators of sound, NoSpeak communicate their story though a captivating array of low slung sonics.

Encompassing everything for the depths of 140 to the techier edges of the drum & bass spectrum, expect a set packed full of energy, both from the speakers and behind the decks.

A NoSpeak curated journey will keep you on your toes, amplified by unique graphics that coalesce into a full audio / visual experience. Share the secret, for once you’ve witnessed it, silence just won’t suffice.

OPTIMUS GRYME:
Passion is the driving force behind Charlie B, better known as Optimus Gryme, as he relentlessly follows his dreams in his pursuit of music.

He’s made tunes with some heavy hitters including Shapeshifter, Tiki Taane, Truth, Six60, DubFX, The Upbeats and Shihad.

He’s hosted a nationwide TV show dedicated to DNB.

He was Drum and Bass editor of a nationwide music magazine, and hosted a radio show dedicated 100% NZ electronic music.

He released NZ’s first-ever Dubstep record, as well as 2 compilations showcasing over 50 NZ bass music producers.

He’s DJ’d over 1000 shows across 25 years, and rocked stages of more than 15,000 people at the biggest festivals in Aotearoa.

Even after dedicating more than two decades of his life to music, Charlie still feels like he’s merely scratching the surface. Don’t miss what’s to come.
