LO-FI Presents another sonic journey.
Michael Mayer is a boundary defying artist, revolutionary DJ, and label boss to the electronic juggernaut that is Kompakt Records.
Born out of a heady mix of early dance, electronic and punk Kompakt developed a sound that blurs genres to exquisite proportions. Given life in the musical melting pot of Cologne in the ever restless clubs and streets – Kompakt is one of the worlds leading electronic dance labels.
As a producer and remixer, Michael Mayer remains one of Germany’s core celebrities in dance music. He has remixed the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Foals and Rufus Wainwright alongside hundreds more. He has helped launch the careers of modern day hero’s such as DJ Koze, Mano Le Tough, Dixon, Kölsch, Whomadewho, Patrice Baumel.
Mayer’s epic live performances deliver an immersive sea of incendiary roller coaster grooves and soundscapes that have been heralded the globe over.
