It’s been a while since we threw down a proper Bass Music outdoor gig in the sun, and with all these crazy weather events hitting some of our favorite festivals we thought we would hit those settled April afternoons to give you all a chance to get away for one last taste of that grass under your feet and bass in your face this summer.
The venue looks back to the west, gets the latest sun on Waiheke, and if you are coming across from the city, is literally a couple of minutes walk from where your waka will pull up.
Last ferry home is 12:30am so you can get yourself home later than Cinderella, hopefully with both of your shoes.
We have selected the selectors to take you on a journey, moving from that sunshine Soul, Funk & Hip Hop, through some atmospheric afternoon dubby steeze, and into a liquid sundown, before we kick into the evening with a blend of Dubstep, UKG & Bassline, Jungle & Drum & Bass.
Tickets just $30 + b.f from Ticket Fairy.

About the Artists.
Charlie Brown aka Optimus Gryme needs no introduction to Waiheke Islanders, who he first blessed with his vibe forming Offbeat Records over 20 years ago, but it wasnt long before they were ramming Fu Bar & hosting Concord Dawn on the Island. Since then he has had countless releases on his label and others, collated albums of all the best in New Zealand, hosted Radio & TV, launched a Clothing Brand, and generally immersed himself in music.
We are stoked to bring him back up from his home on the South Island to throw down a high-energy set of his curation, especially for us.
Paige was born into a musical generation defined by the rise of digital technology. She is motivated by a love of D.I.Y She has come from performing late night events in once thriving venues that have all closed down. Moving to the outskirts of the city in warehouses and townhouses running a string of underground parties, testing grounds for a sound that wasn’t here yet. Paige Julia created her own futuristic sound and her sets are tributes to landscapes of undiscovered music, underlined with a love for Bass! now has taken to the studio to create magic. When she released ‘Mechanisms on Totally Roasted in 2016 she got noticed. By the time she dropped her ‘Dreams EP on Unchained, she became internationally recognised. Itching to get back in the studio after a busy summer festival circuit, we are very blessed she has generously agreed to grace us with her fresh feels to round out summer and welcome the night on dusk.
Sunset vibes we feeling Liquid all day, so we’re stoked to have Chicorelli & Coco represent the Liquid Lowdown crew for a 2hr takeover for you to settle into the sundown with some of the finest refreshments from the AhiPao cocktail bar, and the sun melting into the ocean with the twinkling lights of the city in the distance. Chicorelli has hosted ‘The Liquid Lowdown on Base FM & now George FM for longer than we can remember, and has inhabited the top 5 space of the Mixcloud worldwide DnB shows so many times it’s ridiculous. Coco has run the club for us all like a boss and it only made sense she jumped on the decks she has been so fundamental in getting crowds in front of. In a short time, she has already snared support slots for DRS & Dillinja, as well as playing Northern Bass & Shipwrecked over the summer.
Keighto has recently taken the UKG & Bassline crowds in New Zealand by storm and has already opened for internationals DJ Q, Notion & Zed Bias and been a headliner in numerous local UKG nights including ‘Slang’, ‘Bunker’ ‘Washouse’ and the infamous George ‘Snowball.’ Festival in Ohakune. As well as dropping fire for ‘What it Is’ an online festival, she recently guests mixed on George and showed us a taste of what to expect, with some absolute dubstep bangers woven into the fold. Kate delivers journeys in her sets, exploring multiple rhythms and beat structures, but all with that punch you can’t help move your ass to.
Yoshka began his early production days as one half of the Deep Bass duo Morrison, who were very early picked up by DJs like Dylan C & FatKidOnFire who shared them & featured them in their mixes to the world. ‘Feijoa’ is an all-time beautifully crafted lush dubstep tune, but he has expanded his repertoire now with many styles, so expect a set that starts in a spacious dubby atmospheric style, but begins to jack!
Local support in One40, Lucid Motion & Hodgee for an afterparty indoors into the wee smalls, who will be hosting the decks, but you can be sure that some of the artists may be itching to make a reappearance for some B2B in a mashup finale..
Travelling from Auckland? The venue is a 2min walk from the ferry, so on island transportation is not a hassle you have to deal with! Come across early to enjoy some of our local bars and restaurants. The Village of Oneroa is just a 15min walk away, and boasts heaps of fine establishments, and a golden sand beach to take a dip..
If you want to just head over for the gig, you can avoid the peak rush for Ferries and get yourself an offpeak Ferry discount by booking a day in advance at the link below.

There are offpeak sailings departing downtown every half hour after 1pm, and some of these even stop in at Devonport on the way.
