In a recent span of time, DASEPLATE has been merging the sound of old-school dubstep with grime to create some of the hardest-hitting dubplates for sound systems worldwide. Joining him on the bill is Christchurch don Epoch, with his sound design being second to none and producing some of the crispiest drums in the dubstep game, his sets are ones to not be missed.
Epoch recently produced 2 tunes for DASEPLATE’s very own label, POND LIFE PARTY as a vinyl-only release. It only made sense to put these 2 legends on for you people and even give them an hour of shelling Back 2 Back.
Delivering alongside the absolute dons are some of the North & South Island’s finest 140 selectors.
A-Z
BURNINGBUSH
With a recent release on Noreman Foreman, and multiple releases on Darkmode, he has been establishing his tunes across New Zealand and the worldwide stage. Expect some serious dubplate business when he touches the decks. Dante also rolls with the Support Your Local Collective crew and is the most recent addition to the SYLC crew with his heavy drums and devilish basslines.
Kyber
Bursting onto the scene with his “Onslaught” ep that came out in June 2022 on WiddFam, this man has gone strength to strength going on to release “Artillery VIP” and “Bust” on Noreman Foreman in the same year. With his unmistakable subs, that’s sure to rattle your ribcage.
Ruby Lou
A very familiar face around Auckland, Ruby has cemented her place in the thriving 140-175 scene and is no stranger to Neck Of The Woods. If you haven’t witnessed a Ruby Lou set you are truly missing out, from opening for the 1985 Studio show to ripping the Jungle stage rig at Northern Bass apart, she is one to watch.
