Aotearoa Junglist: The Pioneers of Auckland Drum & Bass

Dive deep into the roots of Aotearoa’s Jungle and DnB scene as we celebrate the DJs and MCs who pioneered the sound over 20 years ago.

Collectively these DJs, Producers and MCs have been spearheading the DNB scene for over 100 years!

48Sonic: One of the original members of the Subtronix crew, 48Sonic has been holding it down for AK DNB since the mid 90’s. We’re super stoked to get him in for an old-skool vinyl set!

Phantom: Also a former Subtronix DJ, he’s supported countless international acts and was instrumental in building the Jungle scene in Auckland since the late 90’s. Phantom will also be spinning an old-skool vinyl set.

MC Tali: Having toured with giants like Roni Size and the full cycle crew, Tali was a key figure in amplifying NZ Drum & Bass on the global stage.

Getafix: The brains behind the iconic JUNGLIST nights at the original FU Bar on Queen Street since the early 2000’s.

Charlie B: Co-founder of OFFBEAT RECORDS and running his own DNB events since 1999

Gull: Also a co-founder of OFFBEAT RCORDS, playing hundreds of DNB gigs over the past 22 years.
