Jacked proudly Presents: Particle (UK // Critical Music)
– Bullock bar // May 13th –
At Jacked, we strive to bring the strongest talent from around the world to show them how a little town like Wanaka operates. The last couple of years haven’t been nice to us at all and that makes us sad but now that we’ve punched past the ‘light at the end of the tunnel times’ and now we’re standing out in the brutal sun, shockingly exposed, we thought its time to sort it out for the good of humanity.
Two years we’ve been waiting patiently for this moment and we had to slap/ spank ourselves (repetitively) just to check its really happening but you heard it here first folks, it is. Our first proper gig back for two years, it’s enough to make all sizes of a man cry and quite frankly we have been, profusely.
To be able to bring none other than Critical Music’s bad boi Particle down to the south is a massive honor and you should already know that we’re going to do it justice. Particle has been killing it for years and is signed to the third best selling label in Drum & Bass globally who just celebrated their 20th birthday, their underground sonics are not to be meddled with. Sound from the mighty Fidelity Sound System and Lighting from On Point Production, its a sure bet that the night’s going to be an absolute ripper.
A few/ most of you probably shot back in your seats the moment you spotted that we’re running it at Bullock Bar and honestly, we absolutely don’t blame you. Bullock Bar has built up an allure as the place to be if you’re a singlet wearing, ungroomed, pokie slapping boomer but we’re kicking all the standard characters/ the furniture out for a night so we can listen to some actual good music in peace. There will be very little resemblance to the Bullock Bar you grew up watching your dad rinse all his money at the TAB. Trust us.
